Today I started to think about possibilities for my main story. My teammate Hieu Hoang will be the model and main focus of the story. I will ask him interview questions that relate to his future track season. Some questions I have prepared for him include; "what does your daily routine consist of to prepare you for the high intensity runs every day?", "what event draws your attention this year and keeps you motivated throughout the season?".
I chose him as my interviewee because he had recently joined our track team last year and has made tremendous gains in fitness and speed. He is determined to make a statement this year and I want to capture his thoughts and plans to do so. I want to take photos of him in stances that convey strength and focus as well as photos of him sprinting.

magazine project 10/30/19
Today we finalized our plans for the photos we are going to take. We plan on taking photos on 11/4/19 at a local park near our school, Payne Park. I will take the photos for my individual magazine on our school track. I decided to use my teammate Hieu Hoang as the model of my cover page. I decided to make my cover page a full body shot because this is a common trend in "Runner's World" and "Milesplit.com"
I have multiple ideas that I will try at my photo shoot. I would like to take photos of my model running towards the camera in running apparel. I would also like to photograph my model posing in stances and stretching on the track. I know I will have to change my plans along the way but I want to stay as close to my original plan as possible. I will take multiple photos of my subject at different distances and point of views to allow myself a wider range of options when I am constructing my magazine.

Magazine project 10/28/19
Today I looked at various puff articles from running magazines and websites like; "milesplit.com", and "Runner's World". Some common phrases included; “Everything you need to know about...”, “... Has made a statement”, “Champion...”. We then discussed the various articles and puff articles that will be listed in our magazines. Since my magazine is focused on High School Track, I decided to include articles that would mention track meets, winners of track meets, track teams, and tips for high school runners.
This week we plan on taking photos of runners to experiment with creating the magazine cover and making a rough draft of how our cover will maintain the same house styles and elements across our different magazines. I plan on taking the photos at my high school track and I hope to use my teammates as possible models. Earlier in the month my team and I created a mock magazine that was focused on high school runners and we plan to draw inspiration and keep some of the elements that looked impressive. We prominently used orange and black in that mock magazine and I think we will continue that style.

Magazine Project Day 2
Today we talked about how we can differentiate our magazines from one another while maintaining the same theme. We decided focus our magazine on high school running and the different sports that are associated with it. My magazine will be focused on the outdoor track season of high school running. The other members in my group will be focusing their magazines on the cross country season of high school running. Once we established this, we went on to the website "Milesplit.com", a website that writes articles on high school runners and teams during cross country and track season. I am familiar with this website and these articles as this is a common website that I visit to gain information about other teams we compete against in our cross country season. Tomorrow we plan to outline potential articles and the style of our magazine.
